CLASS DESCRIPTION:

Sixty minute movement class with warm-up, cardio/core conditioning through the use of a weighted hoop, swing dance-inspired dance steps and cool down segment to 1940’s music.

OBJECTIVES:

  • To experience & explore the elements of form, connection, movement and musicality while hooping to 1940’s music.

  • To discover one’s mojo i.e. mini oscillations juxtaposed on an object, as it applies to one’s ability to merge with the hoop, grade one’s motor efforts and synch with the rhythm/beat of the music or intent of the lyrics.

  • To unwind, de-stress, improve core strength, meditate, become centered and build endurance.

Class participation requires a valid state issued I.D. or passport

and a signed agreement on file.  You can download and print the agreement below or one will be made available the day of class.

3. By participating in a Denise E. Williams exercise class or healing session, every participant agrees to abide by our rules and regulations and understands the management reserves the right to refuse entry should these be contravened.

 

CLASS REQUIREMENTS:

  • 30 to 40 inch hoop that weighs 2 to 3 lbs*

  • Comfortable clothing

  • Rubber-soled shoes

  • Adults 18 years of age or older

FEE REQUIREMENT:

T.B.A.

 

*Hoops can be purchased at Target, Wal-Mart, Amazon.com or most stores that sell exercise equipment.
